Word page setup causes invalid page fault in gdi32.dll

S

Sandy

Running word 2000 with Windows 98SE.

When I choose Page Setup in the file menu to alter the
page settings of a document (new or existing), I get an
invalid page fault in module gdi32.dll.

I have replace the gdi32.dll file and reloaded Word from
the Office disk.

Still getting the error when I try to use Page Setup.

Any ideas??

Thanks

Sandy,

Before you reformat the page, you might take a close look
at the current printer settings. Word (as all other Office
programs) uses the printer settings to calculate margins
and eventually notify you with "out of margin" prompts
should your document cover areas that your printer cannot
handle (physically).

Eventually, create a new Printer with the "HP LaserJet II"
driver. This is a universal laser printer driver (300dpi).
Hook the new printer to the document (Ctrl-P) and look if
the problem has gone.

Hope this helps.

Marco,

I did what you suggested and all appears to be working
fine now.

I do appreciate your help!!
