Word Problems

When running two word documents, word shuts down immediately. Any
suggestions on how to correct this?

I am running MS Office Suite 2003. When working with two word documents at
the same time I have trouble repeatly. While I am working in both documents
(back and forth between the two) the program closes. It can be anywhere
between 2 and 5 minutes when this happens. I can retreive the last saved
version when this happens, but it is very unproductive. Any suggestions?
