Word settings in Office XP Professional

I am running Windows XP Professional SP2 and Office XP Professional.
Currently, my web settings in Word are set to display IE4 & above.

Should I change this to IE6? Also, encoding in Office is set to Western
European. Should I change this to Unicode?

Should I change the above settings in Word or doesn't it matter. Word is
set as default email editor--using Outlook for email.

Also, I will be setting up peer to peer network, but I do not have another
PC connected at this time.
