Word should have an option for automatic word division by default.

I don´t see any means of making Word have, by default, automatic word
division. When, tired of manually selecting, every time I build a new
document, "automatic word division", I looked in the help, but I get no
useful answers...
Please, make it possible to have automatic word division by default...

A desperate user!

What happens if you open Normal.dot directly and check the box for
"Automatically hyphenate document"?

Hi Miguel,

You can make this change yourself.

Find out where your Normal.dot template is stored. Look in Tools > Options >
File Locations and find the folder shown as the User Templates folder. Then
go to the File > Open dialog, set "Files of type" to "Word Templates",
navigate to the templates folder, and select Normal.dot to open.

Go to Tools > Language > Hyphenation and check the "Automatically hyphenate
document" option. Close the dialog.

In the main part of the document, type a space character and delete it. That
makes Word think that something has changed and that Normal.dot needs to be
saved. Then use File > Save, and close Word.

From now on, all new documents will have automatic hyphenation turned on.
