word start up

ltr1945 \(remove this\)

When I try to start word 2000 it locks up everything on
the screen including the start button. I must shut down
computer with the power button and restart to do anything
else. does not seem to have affected my computer in any
other way. Tried diagnosing the problem with the startup
command line switch from the MS knowledge base but it
would not work. Pleae help as I'm out of ideas.

Rename the normal.dot template to normal.old and try again.
