word starts everytime with a template

everytime I start word, an old document opens up instead of a blank document.
even when I select "new document" with word open, the old document opens up.
i've even uninstalled office and it still does it. can someone please help
me?

Try this. Find and rename Normal.Dot to something like OldNormal.Dot.
The
file is probably in Program Files/Microsoft Office/Templates. A new,
clean
Normal.Dot will be created. If not, rename Old Normal.Dot to
Normal.Dot.

Normal.Dot is the default template.
