Hello: I downloaded an MS Word (2000) template from MS's website. It's the
invoice template. However, when I open it, although it opens as a .doc, only
certain fields allow input. These have grey backgrounds. But the fixed,
unalterable fields have words like "Your Company Name" where you should be
able to change those words to your exact company name. This, however, is
blocked. So instead of printing an invoice with say, the company name of
"Joe's Thingumbobbies, Inc.", it would print "Your Company Name", literally.
I got around this by opening the template in Wordpad, then saving it as a
..doc & opening it in word. How can I make the downloaded invoice work as a
proper template? Thanks.
