Word Templates

I have a few templates which I designed in a past version
of Word, which I would like to use in Office 2003 Word. I
have copied the templates into the 1033 folder, but they
do not show up when I ask for templates in Word. How can
I use my prior templates?

Wrong folder; that one is just for Word's own templates (the "installed
templates"). Put your templates in the "User templates" folder shown on the
File Locations tab of Tools | Options (it will be the same one where
Normal.dot is located). If you're using Windows XP, this folder will be
Hidden, so you will need to set Windows Explorer to display hidden files and
folders (View tab of Tools | Folder Options in Windows Explorer).
