Word to Document imaging

T

Tim

Does anyone know of a way (other than scanning) to
transfer a word document to a .tif image that can be
combined with other images and managed in Document
imaging. It seems a waste of time and energy having to
print and scan a document to be able to combine it with
other documents to fax at the same time.

Thanks

Just a follow up. I am using Office Xp with Document
imaging and all service packs installed. I have read
that I can simply choose the Document Imaging Virtual
printer from the print dialog box, but it does not appear
in my system.

Any idea how to reinstall this if needed?

Thanks.

At a guess, I would say open the Printers folder of Control Panel and
double-click on Add Printer. Then see if you can find "Microsoft Office
Document Image Writer" among the offered printers.

The only thing I can suggest then is to "uninstall" it (using Add/Remove
Programs) and then install it again. Maybe this time it will "take."

Tim, if you're still listening, I have learned that the way to reinstall the
Microsoft Office Document Image Writer is to run Detect and Repair in Word.

Suzanne:

I'm having the same problem. I've tried reinstalling the MODI from office
setup, detect and repair from Word, and repair from Add/Remove software in
the control panel.

Nothing seems to work. Any other suggestions are appreciated. Thank you for
your time.
