Word XP propagate table - when not mail merging

In Word version 6 I had a macro that would take the information from the
first cell in either a row or column and copy it to the rows or columns that
you have highlighted. I've just moved to Word XP and can't find a similar
macro or command.

I wanted to move the macros to a new computer but they don't seem to work.
I know that you can propagate a table when working with a mail merge,
however, I can't find the same command if you are not working with a mail
merge.

Thanks for any help,

Barbara

Select the heading row itself, then in the Table menu, select "Heading Rows
Repeat" to do this. I don't know of any way to replicate a column.

That's not what I'm looking for. I want to be able to make a copy of what
is in cell 1 and move it to cell 2, 3, 4, 5 etc. in that column. I have the
original macro it just doesn't work with XP.
