Word's thesaurus - again

A

Averill

I posted this query yesterday and according to the posting
list Graham Mayor replied to it. But when I clicked on his
post it came up 'message unavailable'.

So my apologies for posting the same question again - I
would love a solution to my problem.

I would like to be able to add new words and update the
thesaurus which comes with Word. I need to add more
sophisticated words to the existing one. How can I do this
and where can I find the files?

Several people replied to your original post quoting or duplicating Graham's
answer.

It seems that a few users are seeing 'message not available'. I guess the
system has thrown a fit. The answer - yet again - is that the thesaurus is
not editable, but there are many third party options. Search for 'thesaurus'
at www.google.com

According to MS sources, users of the "old" Communities portal were
experiencing this problem, which did not apply to the "new" portal. I
believe they think they've got it solved now.

It would be better still if they closed both the damned portals and directed
users to the newsgroups proper.:(
