Worm

I think that I have a worm that is using my Outlook 2002 SP3 to spam using
my account - I keep getting Undeliverable messages from System Admin
accounts.

I am running the latest NAV plus all sorts of trojam, spyware but nothing
has been identified. Any advice please?

Thanks

I'm having the same problem. I've put rules in place that move most of them
to my junk folder. I understand what's happening but it does bother me that
my email address may end up in spam filters and messages I send won't get
through. How likely is this?

I don't much care for the occasional abusive response I'm getting either.
Should I send an email to everyone on my address list encouraging them to be
a bit more active as far as removing malware etc is concerned?

it's probably not you - someone else is using your address for spam. it'll
eventually go away.

I don't think it's likely because spam filters usually key off of the IP
addresses of the machines generating the junk. Since it's not yours, I
don't think you have to worry a lot.

Yeah, this can be annoyiong because the people who are complaining don't
understand that you're as much of a victim as they.
