What is needed to read and write in Chinese from my office programs?
We want to be able to read and write emails, letters and possibly spread
sheets in Chinese to communicate with some new customers in China.

Depending on the OS and the Office Suite you are using, it varies, but
basically you must 1) In Control Panel>Regional and Language Options, set up
system support for additional languages 2) Enable support for additional
languages through Start>Programs>Microsoft Office>Office Tools>Language
Settings, and 3) Install an IME (input method editor) to enable input of
Chinese characters into Office.

You can find out a lot more about this by searching within your Office
