Writing delay in OneNote

When I write with a pen in OneNote 2003 SP1, there is a delay before my
writing appears. I am using an HP Compaq Tablet PC tc1100 running XP
Tablet PC Edition 2005 Service Pack 2. The problem did not surface
until I installed the service pack updates (both XP and OneNote). When
I write in Windows Journal, my writing appears immediately -- so it
seems that this might be a OneNote issue. Please let me know if you
have a solution.

Is the delay only at the beginning when you write (and then afer it catches
up, it stays with your writing)? Or does it always lag behind?

Can you check in Task Manager (Ctrl-Shift-Esc, "Processes" Tab, click on the
CPU column header to sort by that column) to see if there is a program other
than ONENOTE.EXE or the "System Idle Process" taking up most of the CPU when
this sympton occurs and then report back?

I don't have any delay here, but have you tried in OneNote going to the Help
drop-down menu and doing a "Detect and Repair..." If something is crossed
up, it might help.

Thanks for your reply.

The delay is always there - it does not catch up.

According to the task manager, there are no other memory intensive
applications running when this happens (other than what you mention).

Thanks for your reply, too. I tried doing a "Detect and Repair..."
(with both the 'Restore...' and 'Discard...' options checked) as a
solution, but the symptoms persist.
