wrong symbol

not sure happened when i hit shift and try to get
quotation marks " i instead get a double > when i hit
shift and try to get anything else it works it seems to
just be that key???

any ideas?

The << and >> symbols are used for speech marks in France. Do you have
English language set?
Also, Check your Local settings in control panel to make sure you're using
the right keyboard and that you have the correct location set.
