Hi,

I noticed that when I create a document library and enable versioning the
Version History Page shows a comments field, but I can't find a way to
populate this comments field, or indeed modify the layout of this page.

Can anyone help please ?

When you want to edit a document in a WSS document library, hover your mouse
pointer over the document until you see a drop-down arrow button. Click the
drop-down arrow button and select the Check Out option. Hover your mouse
pointer over the document again, click the drop-down arrow, and click the
Open in Microsoft Office _____. Edit and save the document, exit the
Microsoft Office application you used to edit the document, hover over the
document again, click the drop-down arrow, and select the Check In option.
You will see the Check In Comments dialog. Enter your comments and click
OK. This will populate the Comments field on the Version History page.
