Hi
Anyone know of a workaround for this? If you turn Wrap Text on in a
cell or cells, Excel insists on reacting to entry of cell contents,
column resizing etc by resizing the row to a ridiculous height (about
twice the height of the text). Select All -> Autosize rows does just
the same.
Even when you enter some text that appears as half the width of the
column, if you have Wrap Text set for that cell, Excel decides that
the row height needs doubling and resizes it.
I'm sure XL2000 didn't do this...
(and another thing - once you format one cell e.g. Bold Italic, Excel
insists on "knowing best" and formatting anything you enter below it
in the same way - even after you've forced the font back to normal a
few times. Very annoying, if like me you like to bold a header row
only.)
