Having the same problem as anonymous. Had to restore and
had Office 2000 and later added some programs from Works
Suite 2003. Now it says that setup is invalid because
there is no qualying product. When I try to select the C
drive it gives me a Error 1608 and could not find
previously installed product. Have tried to load office 1
st, but no matter what I do I cannot get my office back on
the PC. HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!

Sounds like yr Office2K was an upgrade in which case you need the origonal
qualifying product Disk.
Insert it into cd and point Office2K installation to it.
The qualifying product was part of yr licence for Office2K
