Yellow text problem

I used and really liked the beta version of OneNote 2007. As such, I just
got the final version at the store. While almost everything seems to work at
least the same, if not better than the beta, I have noticed one problem - a
problem which did not exist in the beta version.

I do a lot of special highlighting and text coloring when I write in Word
and the like. And all of that used to transfer (either by copy or by drop
and drag) without a problem. However, the final version seems to have a
problem with yellow text. When copied or dragged from Word, any text that is
yellow becomes black. This is a problem for me. And it is a problem which
seems isolated to the yellow color. Other text colors transfer without a
problem. And highlighting transfers without a problem as well. Only yellow
text fails to transfer properly.

Is this a known issue - and are there any fixes for it?

Yes, this is a known issue with pasting colors that are deemed to not
have sufficient contrast with the white background. There is no
fix/workaround at this time (other than changing the color back to
yellow in OneNote after pasting). If this continues to be a problem
please log it on the connect site and we will consider a fix in an
upcoming release.

PLEASE do consider a fix in an upcoming release, because it definitely
continues to be a problem. As I indicated, I do a lot of special
highlighting in other documents and when transfered over to notes, the text
simply becomes unreadable. Having to re-apply the text color etc really
defeats the point of OneNote's ability to accept information from other
sources. If it makes those other sources consistently unreadable, it makes
OneNote more and more unusable.

A fix which allowed one to toggle from a default position where yellow
doesn't appear to where it does would even be acceptable. Just something
which allowed one to transfer things as they -actually are- rather than the
way OneNote -believes- they should be, is proper (which is why the beta
worked so well - and the final version is a lesser product now in this
respect).

As an aside, you indicate I should log this "on the connect site". What is
this exactly and how do I get to it?

Thanks.
