You just screw things up

Microsoft Publisher used to be such a simple and striaght-forward application
to use. Now you have added so much program-inflicted junk to it that it is
becoming a real pain to use. If you want to create bells and whistles do it
in another program. All I want to do is make some lables but no you have to
tell me what I specifically want - which is what I dont want.

a) This newsgroup is dedicated to the use of VBA in Microsoft Publisher.
The correct newsgroup for general Publisher issues is the one that doesn't
have .programming, .webdesign, or .prepress at the end.

b) As a general rule, no one from Microsoft ever reads this group. The only
way your suggestion will be reviewed by Microsoft personnel is if people
mark it as helpful, which I don't think is terribly likely to happen on a
sound-off like this.

c) No one is forcing you to use the wizards. You can simply create a blank
publication.

d) Publisher has always been more than jsut a simple little label creator.
If you want a simple little label creator, there are plenty out there that
don't cost $100.

e) Did you have a question you wanted to ask? If you clearly explain what
exactly your problem is (rather than vaguely describing it - I can't
understand what you mean by "telling you what you specifically want"), then
I'm sure someone around here (or in the main microsoft.public.publisher
newsgroup) will do their very best to help you.

All versions of Publisher work on Windows XP, by the way. Feel free to go
back to Publisher 1.0 if you prefer it to Publisher 2003.

Don't feed the trolls, Ed.

I don't think that this user is a troll - just another person that doesn't
realise that the Suggestion feature still posts a post to a community forum
rather than straight to Microsoft Central.
