authroization failed (5.7.0)

Greeetings to all,
Up until a few days ago, I was happily
sending (& receiving) e-mails on Entourage until the above error came
about. I had not made any changes to my 'Account Settings' so this has
come as a bit of a surprise. I have deleted all my e-mail accounts,
changed password, checked server names, ticked the right
authentication boxes and am still getting the same error when
attempting to send mail - receiving mail is problem-free. My e-mail
accounts are with BT Yahoo! who state the the outgoing/incoming server
name is mail.btinternet.com - One strange thing happened when I set up
the new e-mail account - Entourage decided that my outgoing server
name is 'smtp.o2.co.uk'. Why? Tried sending on this and it still did
not work. I have updated to the most recent versions of Entourage and
Mac OS X but to no avail.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like they implemented some new security measures. I'm surprised
you didn't get a message to update. You might need to check the Advanced
Sending needs authorization. See some of the settings for security for AT&T
Yahoo.

Thanks for the suggestion.
Unfortunately, this did not work either. This time I got the message
"authorization failed: only SBC users can access this server (5.7.0).
Your username/password or security settings......."
I think I'll contact my ISP (BT Yahoo!) now and try and get the new
settings etc.

When you get the correct settings, post back with instructions and I'll post
them on the Entourage Help Page accounts page.
