dynamic addressing & licence error

Jane Garthson

I have a single Mac G3, not networked to any other computer. Last
fall I upgraded to Jaguar and installed Office X, which I have since
used daily. I did only one install.

Over the last few weeks, Entourage repeatedly quits or refuses to load
with a message of "installation exceeds the number of installations
permitted". There has been no similar problem with Word, PowerPoint
or Excel. I don't use IE as Safari is so much faster. It is quite
inconsistent in terms of how long Entourage runs, from seconds to
hours, but if it survives the first few seconds, the quits usually
seem to relate to when it checks for mail.

My connection is through high-speed cable, and apparently my provider
frequently cycles through dynamic IP addresses. Does this make Office
think there is more than one computer involved?

Do you think my problem is with the ISP or with Microsoft?
Suggestions of what to do? Thanks.

Jane
