MS Project 2003 the set baseline is not in tools tracking-why?

I am using MS Project 2003. I follow the baseline steps in the turorial. I
do not see the "set baseline" as an option in my "tools" "tracking". I have
not set a baseline yet for the project.

As I recall, Project 2003 filters the menu based on what you've already used.
If you've never set the baseline, it may not appear in the options. Have
you right clicked at the top and set the menus to always show full menus?

....or am I getting confused with 2007...?

It should be there under "Tools/Tracking/..."
In P2007 it is called Set Baseline. In P2003 they may have called is Save
Baseline. I am sorry but I don't have a 2003 install available to me at the
moment to absolutely verify the text.

Yes, Jim Aksel is right. In Project 2007, the menu item is Set
baseline (under Tools | Tracking), but in Project 2003 it is Save
Baseline.

Please let us know if this helps
