Partial Baseline... Empty AssignmentBaseline0Work

Hi Guys,

We have PS2007 SP2 with reports made with Reporting Services and some issues
with partial baselines... hope someone can help us out.

The thing is, when saving Partial Baselines, one of the fields we require in
order to create some of the above mentioned reports is empty... the field is:

[ProjectServer_Reporting].[MSP_EpmAssignmentByDay_OlapView].AssignmentBaseline0Work

Maybe we are using these partial baselines the wrong way, because I have the
theory that in order to use a partial baseline, you must first save a total
baseline for a project and then, when new tasks are added, save partial
baselines for them, overwriting (adding?) to the originally saved total
baseline.

At the present day, for projects that will grow in tasks in the future, we
save only partial baselines (and never a total baseline as opossed to my last
paragraph theory).

The projects for which the above field is empty are the ones that never got
a total baseline saved, in fact, only projects with partial baselines (or
with no saved baseline at all) are empty.

Thanks in advance for any advice or help.

This may be an issue with how the partial baselines work. When you do a
full baseline, Project copies the data into the resource tables and populates
the resource baseline data. When you do a partial baseline, Project simply
updates the task tables and doesn't update the baseline data in the resource
tables.

Time permitting, I'll pull up a VPC and look at how this specific field functions
with partial baselines, but that could explain the issue.
