Is there a way for word to print out fractions that look better than 1/2.

You mean like ½? Alt+0189 on the numbers keypad.

If so, you are okay for ¼ (Alt+0188), ½, ¾ (Alt+0190) but 7/32? Nope.

Peter, I'll be happy to send to you "Seri Fractional Diagonal" font set if
you wish, then you'll be able to type in the fractional font you want. Of
course, you will have to remember the keys that produce the specific
fraction that you want.
