2003 - How do I retire an old Admin project with actuals

S

Scott S.

I've recently published a few new administrative projects due to changing
organizatoin structure and new procedures for admin projects. Our problem is
that when resources click on "Notify your manager of time you will not be
available...." they see multiple admin projects. Now people entering time in
the wrong place and it is going to the wrong manager for approval. At the
current time we only want one active admin project per resource. Some of the
old admin projects have actual time inthem so I don't want to delete them
from the server.

I've set the remaining work to 0, booking type to proposed. The old admin
projects don't show on the view my tasks. But they do show up under "notify
your manager..." How can I make them not show up and and not delete them.

Thanks for your response.

If you are no longer using the old administrative project, then you should
save it as an .mpp file for later analysis, and then delete it. Hope this
helps.

Thanks but I have managed time periods enabled. Won't I loose the actuals if
I delete the admin project? I have finance people who look at our olap cube.
