2007 to 2003

Is there an easy way for someone who has not upgraded to MS Project 2007 (and
is using 2003 version) to view a 2007 project in the 2003 version? I read one
of the responses where have to apply SP3 and the link to download was
provided but could the user just use the "save as" command and save as 2003
version?

Hello Kimb,

I believe the idea behind the SP-3 reference is if someone does not have
access to 2007 to "save down" to 2003, Service Pack 3 allows the 2003
user to directly read the 2007 file.

I hope this helps. Let us know how you get along.

I am running Office & Project 2003.

I received a file in Project 2007.

I downloaded SP3 which was to allow me to open the 2007 Project in Read Only
mode (that'd be fine, thanks)

I still cannot open the 2007 file, even after having successfully installed
SP3.

Suggestions? (no, the owner of the file is not available to save it down to
2003, that'd be too easy, now wouldn't it?)

Hello Carina,

If it is just one file, email it to me. I'll open in Project 2007 --
Save As Project 2003 and test in 2003 and then email it back.

my email is:
passport 6847 AT maine.rr.com

remove the spaces and replace the AT with an @
