97 and 2000 on same computer

I have 97 and 2000 on the same computer and I would like to have 2000 as my
default email client. Right now 97 is set that way.

You can't have both versions of Outlook installed - when you installed
OL2000, it would've overwritten/uninstalled 97. Can you provide more detail?
Perhaps you're talking about Outlook Express?
