97 at home and newer at school

My husband has to do a Power Point project at school,
where they likely have the most recent version. We have
the old Office 97 Prof CD with PowerPoint 97, but have a
newer computer now with XP home. I believe I can install
the PPT 97, correct? If I do that, will there still be
problems if he tries to work on his project both at
school and at home, since we have an older version at
home? Would we need to get the newer version, or will
the old one work? Any suggestions on what we need to do,
and how to do it would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks!

The old one will work just fine Just on the new one at school, he needs to go
into tools | Options | Edit | remove any checkmarks from the items in the
'disable New Features' section. that way he will be able to work on his project
both at home and at work.
