A good book??

Hello everyone,

I've recently started on database design using ado,
dao. However, everything I've read isn't of great help. Can anyone recommend
a good book? The kind of book that says "you use this procedure in such and
such a scenario and this function when you want to do this...".
If anyone remotely understands my frustration post a
message will ya?

Thanks in advance for your help

Hi Rexirae,

One book I endorse is The Access [YourVersion] Developer's Handbook by Ken
Getz et alia from Sybex. Several others in these newsgroups also recommend
it highly. The latest editions come in two volume sets but you can get just
Volume 1 unless you're into enterprise level work, then you'd go for both
volumes - about $100. A couple of the MVPs assert that each time they refer
to the book they receive its value one more time.

You could do a google search on these newsgroups on "books" and turn up a
pretty good list. There are lots of books with outrageous claims on the
jacket. The ones endorsed here have been read and tested. No book will
take you just where you want to go, they can only help you move in a given
direction.
