A9 (1/2 page) top fold card

Denise

Hi. I recently upgraded from 2003 to 2007. I was pleased to see it now
includes half-page top fold cards. It seems to work for smaller cards but
not for half page cards. It keeps putting pages 2 and 3 next to each other
(a la side-fold) rather than above and below. I'd rather not go back to
rotating the image myself. Am I doing something wrong or id this a bug?
Thanks

Maybe you can find a useful template at the followng site:

Searched Publisher Templates for "top fold greeting"
http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/templates/results.aspx?qu=top+fold+greeting&sc=4&av=ZPB

The "Grandparents Day" card might be what you are seeking..
and of course you can customize it with your own art and text.

File, Page setup, Advanced on the right, Layout Type, Folded card, half-page top
fold.

Type your Width and Height. I am going to assume A9 is a typo and you really
meant A6.

Publisher will ask about two pages. If you type A6 measurements it will print
two cards on a A4 page. You will have to insert two pages into your publication
so as to get two per sheet.

It is actually A9 - that is 8.5 x 5.5, a letter size sheet folded in half. I
had already done what you suggested and created a custom card. In the dialog
box where you set it up, it looks fine - opens correctly. But when you go to
work on the card the pages open as if it is a side-fold card.
As far as I can tell 2007 has some big problems with cards! I decided to
print the card to see what it would do. As in 2003 , you can get what you
want if you rotate stuff yourself. However, unlike 2003, the display doesn't
match the way it prints. If all you have is 2007 you can figure it out thru
a little trial and error. Unless someone knows how to fix this, I'm going
back to 2003. Thanks.
