Access 2007 Ribbon and Filter by Form

I have a form with 30 fields. The users want the users to be able to filter
by form on to select records with particular characteristcs.

I have created a custom ribon for the form with the functions that i need
including StartFromScratch=TRUE to clear the default ribbon , and
FilterAdvancedByForm to run the filter by form.

When I click the button for the filter by form the custom menu goes away and
the default ribbon comes up. The form name shows as myForm : Filter By Form.

Is there anyway to get to the load event for the filter by form or ensure
that the filter by form stage shows a custom menu?
