Access 2k runtime not regconizes Acc2k DB format

Hello,
I have an Access 2k DB (MDB). Its MDE version worked with Access 2K runtime
version.
Newly I opened the DB with Access XP (2002), changed some code, but the
format stays 2k. Then I compiled it with Access 2K on another PC to MDE.

Now the Access runtime cannot regconize the DB format, it tell, "cannot
regconize the database format".

With normal Access 2K I can still open the MDE DB.

What can I do? Where is the problem?
