Access 97 on Win 2K

Frank

I installed Access 97 on a Win2K box with Access 2000
already installed as per KB241141. When I started Access
97 I get "A system error occurred or there isn't enough
free memory to start microssoft access, close unneeded
programs and try again". I then removed Access 2000 and
re-installed Access 97. Same thing. The PC has plenty of
memory and drive space, and everything else runs fine.
Any ideas Please.

Hi Frank,

The problem could be that you have TOO much RAM.

Access 97 will not run on a computer with 1 GB or more of RAM UNLESS you
install the latest JET service pack.

See this article for all the necessary information:

ACC: "Out of Memory" Error Starting Microsoft Access

Hope that solves the problem,
