Access reports to Word

How come I can't export my report in Access to Word? I thought Office was a
superintegrated product. Rtf looses some formatting. I know I can have Word
templates and move data to create a Word document. However this is not a task
for the ordinary user and I feel sorry for them.

You can export, but stuff like graphics etc is lost. I have successfully
sent things like invoices etc to word. I did wind up making a nice "clean"
report with no graphics, and the results were quite nice for word.

If you really want to get all the graphics etc, Stephan Lebans has a nice
utility that actually moves all of the graphics into the resulting document
also. You can find that example here:

Another great way to distribute a report is to make a PDF file, as that is
very standard, and retains all graphics.

Here is one great pdf maker/printer driver.

It is absolutely Free,

And free means no watermarks, no nag screens, no annoying Popup
advertisements, no time limits etc.

It is also very fast, and works very well. I highly recommend it.

Actually, I have a very nice easy to use word template system. You should
give the sample a try here:

This template system lets you send the current record you are looking at to
a word template, and you can do this by putting ONE line of code behind a
button.

Hi Rauken,

Save an object's output as a Rich Text Format file
In the Database window (Database window: The window that appears when you
open an Access database or an Access project. It displays shortcuts for
creating new database objects and opening existing objects.), click the
name of the object you want to save. To save a selection of a datasheet,
open the datasheet and select the portion of the datasheet before
continuing.
On the File menu, click Export.
In the Save as type box, click Rich Text Format (*.rtf).
Click the arrow to the right of the Save in box, and select the drive or
folder to save to.
In the File name box, enter a name for the file (or use the suggested
name).
Do one of the following:
If you are saving a datasheet, click Export All to save the entire
datasheet or click the arrow to the right of the Export All box, and select
Save Selection if you selected a portion of the datasheet in step 1.
For all other database objects, click Export.
