Activating enter/Exit paths on click

May be a basic question, but I am trying to have boxes flying out of my
presentation when I click on them. The order is completely random. If I have
5 boxes to uncover a picture, I could click 120 different combos. Any ideas
how to make this work?

If you are using PowerPoint 2002 or higher, you can use trigger animations.
Set up the exit animation you want and set the timing to use a trigger. You
can set any object on the slide (even the object that is exiting) to
trigger the animation.

You need to use a trigger animation

Apply the animation you want in custom animation then double click the entry
for the animation. In "timing" goto triggers > "start animation on click of
....."
