Activating Office XP

S

Selena

Hi,

I did something really stupid...
I was going to move all my files from my old computer to
my laptop, I installed Office XP on my old computer, just
to see if I would be able to import Outlook Express files
to Outlook, and I activated Office when the popup window
asked me to.

Now, when I try to install and activate Office on my new
laptop, it tells me the product has already been activated
on another computer, and won't let me activate.

How can I activate Office on the laptop? Would it help if
I uninstall Office on my old computer?

Thanks,
Selena Yuk

When you try to activate again it will bounce you to a screen with a
telephone number. Call it and tell the rep that you moved Office from your
old PC to your new laptop and they will give you an activation code. (You
are licensed to have it on one PC at a time). The new Office 2003 Education
Edition has a license for 3 PC's.

Richard.
