Activating Office

J

June

I purchased a new HP Notebook that has a Trial for Office 2003. I have tried
to activate for I keep getting a message that the Key Code is incorrect. I
have checking my typing many times for errors but there were none. The one
that I am using is off the back of the envelope that says "Microsoft Office
S&T Edition 2003 Trial that came in my package. I have gone in and tried to
activate again but I can not get to the screen. The purchase was originally
make over 60 days ago, does that make a difference?

You cannot continue to use trial software indefinitely. The
trial period is usually 60 days, so your trial period has
probably expired, which means you must purchase the software if
you wish to continue to use it. See
http://www.microsoft.com/office/pctrial/convert.mspx for
information about online conversion. But you would probably be
better off purchasing the Office 2003 edition of your choice from
your favorite conventional or online retailer, because you will
probably save a few dollars compared to the online conversion
price, and you will get a CD in the retail box. If you decide to
go the retail route, be sure to uninstall the trial version
before you install your full version.
