Activating Word automatically activate all Office programs?

Recently purchased Office Professional Edition 2003. When opening Word for
the first time the activation process automatically began. After completing
all the required steps, I opened Access expecting the activation process to
begin for it, but it didn't. So, can I assume that the activation process is
only performed once and includes all Office programs listed?
