Activation not starting

Hi,

I installed the Student version of Office 2003 onto my computer yesterday.
This seems to have installed fine, but I have been unable to activate the
product. No activation wizard appeared automatically and when I click on
Help->Activate Product in Word or Excel, nothing happens. Needless to say, I
am unable to type or anything like that in any of the Office applications
since it presumably needs to be activated first.

Does anyone have any ideas as to what the problem might be?

Thanks.

There's something else wrong. Office does *not* require activation
immediately after installation - it should be fully functional for 50 uses
before entering reduced functionality (i.e. you can view existing files, but
not create new ones). If it's in reduced functionality immediately, then
activating won't solve the problem.
