I just installed Office 2007 from old disk over 2003 on one of my laptop.
Having forgot that I had used up all allocated installs it cannot be
registered so I ordered a new 2007 disk.
My question is can I now just use the new serial number or must I first
uninstall 2007 and reinstall?
I do not want to error and use up more than one allowed install.
TIA

Thanks for reply but not something I want to do.
There are too many; Might, Could If you manage, several
similar keys.

Guess I will just uninstall office 2007 using Add or remove programs and
reinstall.

If the new Office 2007 that you ordered is the exact same version as the present
Office 2007 that is installed then yes you can use the new key. It has to be the
exact same version or it will not work

Thank you Peter I will give it a try as it will be the same version. Will be
week or so to get new disk so you probably will not hear if I succeed or
not.Its being drop shipped from the military exchange system.

No . it is the "Microsoft® Office Standard 2007 Military Appreciation
Edition " which I believe is same as standard with three installs.

Maybe same but maybe no. That version has some different options as I know of.
Better wait and install that version as not to cause an issue which is not wanted.

FWIW, it doesn't hurt to try the key. If it's not correct you'll be told
it's invalid.

It never presented a opportunity to enter the new key, it did suggest phone
registration, so I deleted the failed install and started over. All fine
now.

Thank you

Its IN!
Thanks for your help. For your inf. I had to delete failed installation and
reload from new disk. The past install did not present me with a place to
enter key, just a suggestion to call in activation.
