Hi,
I need to close a .dot document via VBA, but i dont want to save
any changes, nor want the user to be ask if he/she wants to save the
document.
activedocument.close nosave, dontask
What do you mean by a *.dot document? *.dot are templates from which we
create *.doc, which are documents.
So, do you want to close a *.doc, but do not want the user to be asked about
saving changes in the *.dot from which the *.doc was created, or are you
actually working with a *.dot, in which case, why? Normally you create a
*.dot for your users who will create *.doc from it, not actually working in
the *.dot...
In any case, have you tried:
ActiveDocument.Close wdDoNotSaveChanges
And did you look in the online help? If you already had the
activedocument.close nosave, dontask
syntax, all you needed to do is select "close" and hit F1 to have all the
details explained....
It might save you time next time (I mean not having to wait for a reply
here...)
