Activity Plans for small projects?

I've read much about folks using activity plans to manage production
support type activity (w/no tasks).

What about small, less than a week, projects that you still want to
schedule ahead of time and assign resources to? Like "Add field x to
a screen" or "Create new batch report"

Could you have an Activity Plan called "DBA Scheduled Maintenance"
where the Resource Manager adds a new task as needed and assigns a
resource (or multiple resources)? This would be in lieu of creating a
Project of the same name and creating project assignments.

If you CAN do this, is there a real advantage other than ease of use
via the web instead of having to use Project Pro?

Can you assign more than one resource to an Activity Plan task?

Hi Andy,
Abosolutely, this is a great use of activity plans. However, you are
limited to <100 tasks per plan, and you cannot have multiple assignments for
a single task.

As Ben quite rightly mentioned, you can use this functionality for these
kind of situations, but be aware of the limitations. Ben already meantioned
