Actual Work not calculating properly in Data Analysis

Hi,

Using Project Server 2007

I created a timesheet view with actual work, Date fields (Month, Day) as my
columns and Resource Name, Project List and Task List as my rows. The end
result looks like a timesheet per day notifying us of how much time was
posted against each task. The problem is that I have several resources that
have entered time. For instance, one resource entered 159 hours for the
month of August. It reflects that in the Tasks Approval screen, Resource
Assignments, and the spreadsheet that the user exports from excel; however,
if I go to Data Analysis only 24 hours are reflected in the view for the
month of August.

I read through the posts and they said not to set the data analysis view to
go down to a granular level (such as resource specific, project specific,
etc) and then to let the cube build. But the problem still exists...

Does anyone have a solution?

Also, we are not using Timesheets as of yet and I use the Portfolio Analyzer
cube.

Hello,

Same problem here. Timephased and non timephased cubes show different actual
work values. I think this is not cube related, because views
MSP_EpmAssignment_UserView and MSP_EpmAssignmentByDay_UserView in Reporting
database show the same difference.

I am having the same problem as well. I have seem many posts concerning this
same issue but no real solutions outside of deleting and recreating the
entire OLAP cube.

Has anyone found a work around or a more reasonable solution?

Thanks,
Sam

As a workaround I have deleted all projects from published database and
republished them again. Now it seems Ok. (But only about two weeks have
elapsed).
