Adding comment to email

Hi there,

Just wonder is there a way to add a efw lines of comments to email in
outlokk. Just ot remind myself what I have done with that particular issue a
few month later.

It is differetn from follow-up flag as they are already been dealt with.

good idea but not implemented the way I think you want it.
You could add a link to a Note, use a follow-up flag (very limited) or
possibly add a text field to the view for comments ....

how exactly do I add a text field to the view?

I tried to add a custom fileds in the "Customize View: Messages" dialog box
but could find a way to edit my custom field.

Could you elaborate a bit more please?

Open the message. Click Edit>Edit Message and add whatever notes you want.
Close the message and save the changes.

First turn the reading pane off. You work in the mail list view.
right-click on one of the column headers, choose Field Chooser, select new.
create a new text field and give it a name. drag it in place alongside one
of the other headers. If you wish to enter text directly then enable in-cell
editing in the view.
