My computer has Office XP Home Edition 2002 and does not include
Power Point. Can I add it by purchising Power Point 2003 on a stand
alone basis, or do I have to purchase the entire MS Office 2003 Suite?
There is no such thing as "Office XP Home Edition" - XP Home Edition is a
version of *Windows*, not Office. You have Windows XP Home on your computer
and, I suspect, Office XP Small Business Edition which is an OEM licence,
which means it cannot be transferred to a new system should anything happen
to the current one. You would need (and someone correct me if I'm wrong) to
purchase the full version of PowerPoint (which Amazon UK has for £180).
However, it would be cheaper to purchase the Students and Teachers' Edition
which contains PowerPoint and can be transferred to a new system (OK, you
may not be a student, but it's cheap and I don't believe you have to prove
your academic status) this is £90, or half the price of PowerPoint
standalone.
