Address book contacts

Hello,

When I go into Address Book, under "Show Names from the" I have 3 "Contacts"
showing. How do I know which file (.pst) each "Contacts" belongs to?

What version of Outlook are you using, and if 98 or 2000, what mail support
mode? If you're not sure, look at the second line of Help | About Microsoft
Outlook -- it should say "Internet Mail Only" or "Corporate/Workgroup".
(Outlook 97, 2002, and 2003 don't have separate modes.)

You may be able to assign a "nickname" to each folder to make it easier to
tell them apart in the Outlook Address Book. This function exists in
Outlook 2003, but I don't have a copy of Outlook 2002 handy to test with and
I don't remember if it had this feature or not. Try this: Go into the
Properties for each of the three Contacts folders, and click on the Outlook
Address Book tab. Do you see a box labeled "Name of the address book"? If
so, give each folder a unique nickname there, and you should see that
nickname in the dropdown list in the OAB.

If you have 3 separate PST files, only one is your default--so you can
rename the other 2 Contact Folders to whatever you want.
