Adjusting default calendar

Hi all, I've been searching through Google groups for this answer and
can't find it...

But I can't imagine nobody has ever had this problem before...

Where I work, people take half-hour lunch breaks so I want to program
that into my project sheet.

I can set start/finish times on Tools/Options/Calendar (8am to 5pm)
and the working day to be 8.5 hours long - so Project knows it's a
half-hour lunch break but that doesn't tell Project when lunch is (for
it to schedule around).

If I go to Tools/Change Working Time, I still need to adjust the hours
of every day - resulting in the days being marked as "Edited working
hours", so I won't be able to tell which days are modified from my
default.

Surely there's a way I can set the default calendar working hours to
my 8-12, 12.30-5 reality... I must be missing something fundamental?

Very interested as to what the answer could be, I can't seem to find
it anywhere.

Hi,

As you have noticed, you can set the working hours exactly as you need them,
and Project will do the right calculations for you.
What you cannot do (sorry!) is to tell project this is the default. You
cannot change what Project calls the default.
