Administrator password malfunction

Hi there, I am the adminitrator for my Windows xp professional and i
have swithched off the password function when i start off my computer
as i am the only one who uses it. This enables me to start up my
computer without having to put the password in, however if i get a
windows update and then restart my computer, it asks me for my
adminiatrator's password, EVEN though there isn't one, which means I
have to press F8 on start up and go to "Last good configuration"
meaning thet the windows update is not there anymore.

Anyone have any ideas as it's a real pain

Thanks

Hhhelpppp!!!

You can just hit return/enter to get logged in, and then go to Group/User
policies and change the necessity for a password. There are other ways to do
this too. If you had a password before you updated to Windows XP, you may
have to enter that when prompted, in order to get logged on.

On my pc, if I logon to the domain, I have to enter one password, but if I
log into the pc as a local administrator, it wants the password I had from
before I joined the domain.
