I am trying to reinstall windows xp, and come to a dos screen asking for the
administrator password. I don't have a password. Any help would be great.

Thanks,
Tom

Are you absolutely sure you are re-installing and NOT in the Repair Console?
A re-install doesn't NEED a password to procede.

If I press enter, it goes to the C:\windows prompt,

I should have stated earlier that I'm trying to "repair" windows, and keep
getting an "Administrator password".
Thanks for trying to help,

I am trying to repair windows.

Then I suspect you have pressed "R" for RECOVERY CONSOLE, and are not doing
a repair INSTALL. The two are entirely different operations. reboot from
your Windows XP CD and do NOT choose the "Recovery Console" option.
